Positioning for Blessings: The Power of Serving God with Our Whole Being

“You shall serve and I shall bless” is found in Exodus 23:25-26, which says:

“Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.”

This scripture shows that when we serve God, He promises to bless us in various ways. God desires that we serve Him with all our heart, mind, and soul.

So, what does it mean to serve God? Serving God involves obeying His commands and doing His will. It also means putting God first in our lives and making Him the center of our existence. When we serve God this way, we acknowledge that He is the source of all blessings and that without Him, we can do nothing.

But what about the blessings that God promises in Exodus 23:25-26? How do they relate to our service to Him? The answer is simple: when we serve God, we position ourselves to receive His blessings. This is because God delights in blessing His children and providing for their needs.

So, what are some of the blessings that God promises when we serve Him? According to Exodus 23:25-26, these include:

Blessing on our food and water means that God will provide for our physical needs, such as food and water, and ensure we have enough to sustain ourselves.

Healing from sickness – when we serve God, He promises to remove sickness from among us. This is a powerful promise, as it means that God can heal us from any physical ailment or disease.

Protection from barrenness – for those who desire to have children, God promises that none will miscarry or be barren in the land. This is a powerful promise, as it means that God can provide for our deepest desires and fulfill the desires of our hearts.

A full life span – finally, God promises that He will give us a full life span. This means that when we serve Him, we can trust that our lives will be long and fruitful and that we can fulfill the purposes for which God has called us.

“You shall serve, and I shall bless” is God’s powerful promise reminding us of the importance of serving Him with all our heart, mind, and soul. When we serve God this way, we position ourselves to receive His blessings, including provision, healing, protection, and a long and fruitful life.

May we all be encouraged to serve God with our whole being, knowing He is faithful to bless us as we do so.
