The Sour Hour Of Power Faces APC

It is at this junction that I refer to as the Sour Hour of Power.  It is the junction at which is sounded loudly, for the world to hear, the final death of the APC government and by extension, the APC party!

Politicians, the world over, are no paragons of morality, or any virtue, for that matter, more so, because, they’re all human and, therefore, susceptible to frailties that are all too mundane, though not excusable!

Even so, in politics at all times, including ours, honesty, simplicity, and vision form a desideratum, which my countrymen and women had not seen since 2007 when the All Peoples Congress assumed power.

Due to the unmitigated arrogance, dishonesty, and indifference with which the APC Government has presided over the affairs of State since then, it has today arrived at a very detestable junction in her political journey.

It is at this junction that I refer to as the Sour Hour of Power.  It is the junction at which is sounded loudly, for the world to hear, the final death of the APC government and by extension, the APC party!

It is suicide to re-elect to power, a party whose government is entirely hostile to the people of Sierra Leone.  By its nature, the APC seems determined to cut you down.  The Party has cut down so many in the past and cuts down so many every day.  It is holding the people down in abject poverty.

It is what the APC has always done.

So, it will be a final act of manipulation to vote for the APC again.  The vote will not merely be politically suicidal, but a decision that will permanently close down the gates of doom, gloom, and paranoia on a people making such a decision.

I know that my countrymen and women are better than that. For ten years, they had been the victims of the sour hour of power. But today, the government that made them such victims have arrived at the bitter hour of power, as they see, clearly, a better alternative in the Sierra Leone Peoples Party, the honest author, and guardian of the destiny of my countrymen and women.

It is no secret that all the years the APC has been on the governing stage of our Republic, had been inundated with calamities and sufferings that are human-made. And, from the fraudulent One Party State to the corruption that ensued and heightened in the intervening years, to the Rebel War, to Ebola on down to the recent mudslides, these guys disguised hypocrisy can no longer be dissembled; it stares the people in their faces.

But hey! The sour hour of power is here!

And the House is falling low.
